His Career
After completing a preparatory program on Réunion Island, Angelo ALCARAZ was admitted through a competitive entrance exam to the Department of Mathematics Education and Research. During his undergraduate studies, he completed an "Interface" year that allowed him to complete one year of a master’s program in humanities and social sciences, “Adaptation to Climate Change.”
At the 2024 graduation ceremony, he received the School’s Interdisciplinary Award.
He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Vannes, conducting research in statistics applied to ecology with a focus on the study of species. He is interested in the concept of diversity in ecology, incorporating historical, sociological, and epistemological elements—that is, aspects related to the philosophy of science. He continues to pursue this interdisciplinary approach in his dissertation.
